Birchwood Highland Recovery Centre
Birchwood Highland Recovery Centre was formally opened in March 2008, having undergone transformation from a traditional residential care home into a modern mental health recovery unit.
The Recovery Centre can accommodate up to 23 people in single rooms, studio apartments and flats.
All our work is based upon the concepts of recovery, inclusion and independence, and is aimed at assisting people to take control of their lives and move forward.
We welcome people to the Recovery Centre who really want to work with us towards their recovery, by building up their skills, knowledge and self-esteem, and developing support networks so that they can successfully move on to their own accommodation in the community.
Generally speaking, people are admitted to the Recovery Centre through referral by New Craigs Hospital, Community Mental Health Teams, GPs, or indeed they can make a self-referral. For further information please download the leaflets listed further down this page.
