Birchwood Highland:
Independence, Inclusion, Recovery
Birchwood Highland was established 25 years ago as a charity working with people with mental ill-health.
Whilst we have retained our expertise in supporting people with mental ill health, today we focus on improving the quality of a person's life experiences, whatever their background.
We aim to increase a person's capacity to live independently and feel part of the community, thus reducing feelings of isolation. We support people to build self-confidence and adopt lifestyles that improve their health and wellbeing.
We operate in the Inverness, Easter Ross, Lochaber and Caithness areas. Many of our staff have been with us a long time and have experience of working with vulnerable people and supporting their recovery.
We believe that investment in staff training is essential in order to provide high quality care, and we require all our staff to work towards the vocational standards set by Care Commission Scotland (now Social Work Care and Social Work Improvement Scotland).
Quiz night
We're holding a quiz night on Friday 10th February 2012 at Raigmore Hospital Recreation Hall.
Teams can be up to 4 people and the cost is £20.00 per team. We'll be having a raffle and prizes for the winners. The bar will open at 7pm and we have a 100 person capacity venue. Please confirm your team's details to info@birchwoodhighland.org.uk and send a cheque for £20.00 by Monday 30th January to:
