Birchwood Highland: a mental health charity

Birchwood Highland was founded in 1987, and in 2008 opened the first mental health recovery centre in the Highlands.

Our mission is to improve the quality of life of people with mental health issues and complex needs by promoting recovery, inclusion and independence.

This includes:

To achieve these outcomes we try to make it possible for our service users to plan, organise and take part in events, projects and activities, while promoting the beneficial links between physical exercise and mental wellbeing.

To continue to provide people with these opportunities we need to raise extra funds, and we are grateful to the individuals and groups who have made donations through sponsorship, and support us when we attend public events and through street collections.
