About us as a charity
Birchwood Highland was established over 25 years ago as a charity working with people with mental ill-health. Whilst we’ve retained our expertise in supporting people with mental ill health, today we focus on improving the quality of a person’s life experiences, whatever their background.
Birchwood Highland will be holding a fashion show on the eve of the Highland Games on Friday the 17th of July 2015. We'll be featuring clothes from Maggie & Suzi, a boutique opening the week after the games in Inverness, and the popular M&Co.
Ticket for this event are available now from our online store.
We'd love to have some support at this event, so if you'd like to volunteer or model at the show, please email firstname.lastname@example.org to take part!
We recently were nominated as finalists in the Scottish Charity Awards 2015 run by the Scottish Council for Voluntary Organisations (SCVO) in the award category – Charity of the Year and were a contender for the People’s Choice – Heart & Soul Award. Thank you to everyone who voted for us and supported us. It was an amazing achievement for a Highland charity focused on mental health to have made it to the finals out of 45,000 Scottish voluntary organisations and charities.
