About us as a charity

Birchwood Highland was established over 25 years ago as a charity working with people with mental ill-health. Whilst we’ve retained our expertise in supporting people with mental ill health, today we focus on improving the quality of a person’s life experiences, whatever their background.

Calling all Fun-Loving Types!

Could you do a mile in the craziest costume or daftest way possible? Come and join us to help stamp out the stigma of mental ill health, raise funds to aid our vital work – and have fun! Want to complete the course dressed as a fairy? Grab a group of friends and don gorilla outfits? Or even tie yourself to your colleagues for the day? You’re in!

We’re looking for teams and individuals to come in fancy dress or use teamwork to get round the mile and raise a smile!
This event’s open to all ages and abilities - it costs £10 for adults and £5 for kids, but staff go free and we would love you to come and join us! The Mad May Mile is at Whin Park, Inverness @ Midday on May 15th!
